What Comes Standard When You Build with Live Green Homes
What Comes Standard When You Build with Live Green Homes
Building a new home is exciting, but we understand that the pre-construction and selections process can sometimes feel overwhelming, particularly when upgrades and additional costs begin to add up.
At Live Green Homes, we aim to make this stage simpler and more transparent. That’s why we’ve carefully developed a comprehensive range of quality standard inclusions, giving you plenty to choose from without feeling like everything you love needs to be an upgrade.
From the performance of your building envelope to the flooring underfoot, our inclusions have been selected with comfort, quality, durability and everyday living in mind.
A Better-Performing Home from the Beginning
Some of the most important inclusions in your new home are the ones you may never see once construction is complete.
We take a considered approach to the orientation and design of each home, helping to make the most of the site and opportunities for natural light and passive solar design.
Our standard construction includes a concrete raft slab with under-slab and perimeter insulation, quality insulation throughout the building envelope, and careful installation of the external weather-resistive wrap.
How these elements are installed is just as important as the products themselves. Insulation needs to be continuous and protected from unwanted air movement, while the external wrap, airtight layers and junction details need to work together as a coordinated system.
Particular care is also taken around windows, penetrations and other junctions to help manage unwanted air and moisture movement, support the longevity of the building materials and create a more comfortable home.
Quality Windows, Roofing & External Finishes
Our standard Stegbar aluminium eX-Hybrid windows and doors feature double glazing, contributing to improved thermal performance and year-round comfort.
For clients opting for a high-performance home, we can also incorporate uPVC windows and doors to achieve the required thermal performance. These are considered during the design and costing stages, allowing the associated costs to be factored into the project from the outset rather than introduced as an unexpected upgrade later in the process.
Window selection is considered as part of the overall building envelope, including the thermal performance of both the frame and glazing. Just as importantly, every window is carefully detailed and installed to support reliable flashing, airtightness and the overall performance of the home.
For the roof, COLORBOND® steel roofing and accessories are included as standard, complemented by a quality selection of external finishes.
Our brick range includes options from PGH and Selkirk, along with Weathertex cladding. Weathertex is manufactured from 97% hardwood timber and 3% paraffin wax, with no added silica, glues, resins or formaldehyde.
We also use Haymes Paint for selected cladding and timber finishes, B&D sectional garage doors, and Corinthian doors for both front entry and internal door selections.
Together, these inclusions provide plenty of scope to create an exterior that reflects your personal style without immediately needing to move outside the standard range.
All-Electric Living
Our homes are designed with the future in mind, with all-electric living included as standard.
A 6.65kW solar system with a battery-ready inverter is included, along with provision for a future EV charger through a dedicated power outlet.
Hot water is provided by a Reclaim Energy heat pump with a 315L storage tank, and electric heating and cooling is included as standard, with the most suitable system designed and selected to suit the individual home.
These inclusions are designed to support an efficient, comfortable home while providing greater flexibility for future technologies such as battery storage and electric vehicle charging.
Internal Finishes Without Compromising on Quality
Once you move inside, our standard inclusions continue with a considered range of fixtures, fittings and finishes.
2550mm ceiling heights come standard, creating a greater feeling of space throughout the home.
Our fixtures, fittings and tile selections are available through local supplier GT&B, with a carefully selected range that allows you to create a cohesive interior while still putting your own personality into the home.
The kitchen also comes equipped with Bosch all-electric appliances as standard, combining quality, functionality and a clean contemporary finish.
Underfoot, our standard flooring includes quality timber-look hybrid flooring and solution-dyed nylon textured loop carpet, supplied locally by Bellarine Flooring. Both ranges have been selected with durability and everyday family living in mind, while providing a versatile foundation for a wide variety of interior styles.
Standard Doesn't Have to Mean Basic
We believe a standard inclusion should be something you are genuinely happy to have in your home, not simply a starting point designed to encourage upgrades.
Our inclusions have been carefully considered across the entire home, from the construction methods and building envelope through to appliances, flooring, fixtures and finishes.
Of course, every homeowner is different, which is why upgrade options are also available if there is a particular product, finish or feature you would like to incorporate.
The difference is that you can begin the selections process with a quality, considered and comprehensive standard range already available to you.
Building with Greater Clarity
A well-designed home is about more than how it looks on handover day. It is about how it feels to live in, how it performs throughout the seasons and how well its materials and systems stand up over time.
At Live Green Homes, our standard inclusions reflect the same approach we take to every home we build: considered design, quality construction and better performance from the beginning.
