We’re a local award-winning family business building quality homes for all our valued clients, whether they be single, couples, families, or investors. From inspired new homes to contemporary townhouses, we work closely with our clients to ensure our vision aligns with theirs. We manage all the complexities of dealing with Councils, Building Surveyors and Design Panels to provide our clients with an enjoyable, positive, and hassle-free experience through every step of the journey.
Andrew Hopper and Aaron Anstis are the driving force behind Live Green Homes. With varied backgrounds in business and carpentry, they are passionate about improving home livability and the construction industry’s relationship with the environment.
As a carpenter, Andrew founded Hopper Homes in 2002. Andrew, along with builder Nick Barker joined the Hotondo Homes franchise network in 2005. Together they built Hotondo Homes Ocean Grove into a thriving local business.
Aaron joined the Hotondo Homes team in 2010 as an estimator after having cut his teeth in construction as a project manager before obtaining his builder's licence in 2015. Upon Nick’s retirement in 2016, Aaron through his company Geelong Building Solutions, joined with Hopper Homes to build quality homes for Hotondo Homes Ocean Grove.
During their time partnering with Hotondo Homes Ocean Grove, the team worked with many clients keen to improve design and energy efficiency in new homes. They realised the need for quality energy-efficient and environmentally friendly homes in Geelong, the Surf Coast and Bellarine Peninsula regions and combined their expertise to form Live Green Homes.

To support the ever-growing need for environmentally friendly homes in Geelong, the Surf Coast and Bellarine Peninsula, Live Green Homes was created in 2022. A partnership between Hopper Homes Building Services and Geelong Building Solutions (formerly Hotondo Homes Ocean Grove), Live Green Homes remains a local family-owned business, employing a local team and using local trades.
Live Green Homes allowed the team to spread their wings offering their experience, expertise and quality across more locations than previously possible. Continually striving to improve the construction industry with better standards one house at a time, Live Green Homes deliver homes built to a better livability standard.
We are accredited Passive House Consultants and Tradespeople, supporting the ever-growing need of quality environmentally friendly houses in Geelong, the Surf Coast and on the Bellarine Peninsula.
